ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Dive into the imaginative sounds of one of the most highly praised groups in contemporary American jazz. The Bad Plus takes jazz to new and adventurous levels with their visionary interpretations on a range of genres, from pop to punk to classical. Performing high-energy shows with unique flair, this quartet continues to set a new standard for what modern jazz can be.

Pushing the boundaries of jazz for over 20 years, The Bad Plus re-emerged in 2021 in new formation, now featuring founding members Reid Anderson on bass and Dave King on drums joined by Ben Monder on guitar and Chris Speed on tenor saxophone. Famous for combining elements of modern avant-garde jazz with a range of influences, The Bad Plus has recorded versions of songs from artists like Nirvana, Aphex Twin, Blondie, Pink Floyd, Tears for Fears, Neil Young, David Bowie, Johnny Cash, The Bee Gees, Burt Bacharach, and more.
