Privacy Policy
At the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, we are committed to respecting the privacy rights of our friends, patrons, and visitors.
We've provided the following policies to protect your personal information, including, but not limited to, your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, purchasing or contribution activity, and credit card information. This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through any means — including our website, mobile communications, the box office, and in person — not only through online interactions.
This policy may change at any time; see “Changes to This Policy” below. By interacting with Dr. Phillips Center, whether online, by phone, by mail, or in person, you agree to the terms of this policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into, and should be read together with, our Site Terms and Conditions of Use and our Terms and Conditions Standard Tickets & Subscriptions.
COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
As you explore our website or interact with us by phone, email, or in person, we may ask you to provide personal information in order to make a purchase or contribution, enter a contest or drawing, subscribe to Dr. Phillips Center Communications (defined below), or request an accommodation. This information is added to our records and used to fulfill your request.
An account is required to purchase tickets online. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and login credentials, and we keep a record of your account activity, such as sign-ins and orders.
We also use information such as account activity, device and browser data, and IP address to secure our website and online services, detect and prevent fraud and automated activity (such as bots), and enforce ticket limits, our Site Terms and Conditions of Use, our Terms & Conditions Standard Tickets & Subscriptions, and the Official Rules for any promotion or ticket lottery.
We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf, such as payment, ticketing, digital ticket delivery, online forms, email, text messaging, chat, and website providers. We also share information with third parties and facility renters who may produce or present certain performances at the Center for which you have purchased a ticket, except as described for ticket lotteries below. Where permitted by your cookie settings, we also share limited information with the analytics and advertising partners described in the "Cookies & Tracking Technologies" section below. Or unless as part of the sale of substantially all assets of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
Financial Information
Dr. Phillips Center will protect any personal financial information you share with us. If you make a donation or purchase through our site, your credit card number is used only to process your payment. Card information is processed by a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor and is not stored on our web server. We retain order information (such as purchase history) for our records, but credit card information is never shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to process your payment.
Service Providers and Other Third Parties
We work with third-party service providers to operate our business, including: a ticketing and customer relationship management platform; a payment processor; an online form provider; a digital ticket delivery provider; an email and SMS communications platform; and, when applicable, vendors that help us operate a specific contest, sweepstakes, ticket lottery, or the Ticket Refund Protection program. These providers receive only the information necessary to perform their function on our behalf and, except as described below for Programming Partners, contest and sweepstakes co-sponsors, and the Ticket Refund Protection provider, are not authorized to use your information for their own independent purposes.
Programming Partners
When you purchase tickets to a performance presented, produced, or promoted by a third-party renter, promoter, or co-producer, we may share your name and contact information with that partner so they can communicate with you about that performance. Programming partners are responsible for their own use of your information under their own privacy practices. This does not apply to ticket lotteries; information connected to a ticket lottery is not shared with programming partners, as described below.
Contests, Sweepstakes, and Ticket Lotteries
The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts website may occasionally present a special contest, sweepstakes, or promotional drawing — including ticket lotteries and other drawings we operate ourselves, drawings operated jointly with a third-party partner or platform, or promotions sponsored by another entity. To qualify for entry, we may ask you to provide personal information. Participation in any specific contest or drawing is governed by the Official Rules posted for that promotion, which will disclose if your information will be shared with a co-sponsor, partner, or vendor involved in operating it. Whether or not you are selected, information you provide when entering a contest, sweepstakes, or drawing may be retained and used for future Dr. Phillips Center Communications, including promotional email, unless you opt out, as described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.
Dr. Phillips Center ticket lotteries are owned and operated solely by Dr. Phillips Center. They are not operated with, sponsored by, or part of any contractual partnership with a co-presenter, producer, promoter, ticketing platform, or other third party. Information you provide to enter a ticket lottery, and information about tickets you purchase as a lottery winner, is not sold, rented, or shared with any third party or Dr. Phillips Center partner, including programming partners, co-presenters, producers, promoters, and advertising partners. It is processed only by the service providers described above, such as our online form, ticketing, email, payment, and digital ticket delivery providers, acting solely on our behalf to run the lottery and complete your purchase, and they may not use it for any other purpose. We may disclose this information only where required by law.
Ticket Refund Protection
If you purchase Ticket Refund Protection, your name, contact information, and order details will be shared with SecureMyBooking.com, the third-party provider that administers Ticket Refund Protection, to process any claim. That provider's use of your information is governed by its own privacy policy, which will be made available to you at the time of purchase.
User-Generated Content
From time to time, we may invite you to submit or share photos, videos, testimonials, or other content with us, or you may tag or mention Dr. Phillips Center in content you post publicly on social media. By submitting content directly to us, or by publicly tagging, hashtagging, or mentioning Dr. Phillips Center in content you post, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, edit, and display that content across our marketing channels, including in advertising, without compensation. We may, at our discretion, provide attribution but are not obligated to do so. If you do not want your content used this way, please do not submit it to us or tag us publicly, or contact us using the information below to request removal.
Links
Our site includes links to other websites whose privacy policies are not in our control. Once you leave our website, use of any information you provide is governed by the privacy policy of the operator of the site you are visiting, which may differ from ours. If you can't find the privacy policy of any of these sites via a link from the site's homepage, contact the site directly for more information. Dr. Phillips Center is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such websites.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser that help our websites work and help us understand how they are used. This section applies to our websites, including drphillipscenter.org and tickets.drphillipscenter.org.
When you first visit our website, a banner lets you choose between three cookie levels:
- Only functional cookies. Only the cookies needed for the site to work are set, such as your shopping basket, sign-in session, site preferences, and security and fraud-prevention tools that protect the site and checkout from bots and abuse. No analytics or advertising cookies are set at this level. We may still receive aggregated, non-identifying statistics about overall site usage that cannot be linked to you.
- Minimal cookies. In addition to functional cookies, this level allows analytics cookies and third-party media such as embedded videos, so we can understand and improve how the site is used. No advertising cookies are set at this level.
- All cookies. In addition to the above, this level allows the advertising technologies described below.
If you are visiting from within the United States, functional, analytics, and advertising cookies are active by default, and you can limit them at any time by making a selection in the banner or through the Cookie Change Option at the bottom of the Privacy Policy page. If you are visiting from outside the United States, analytics and advertising cookies remain off unless you choose to allow them.
You can change your selection at any time using the Cookie Change option at the bottom of this Privacy Policy page. You can also limit cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of interest-based advertising through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info.
Analytics
We use analytics services, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, to collect information about how visitors use our websites, such as pages viewed, links clicked, device and browser type, and approximate location. Microsoft Clarity may record how you interact with a page, including mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and typing into forms (with sensitive fields masked), to help us find and fix usability problems. These services are active at the "Minimal cookies" and "All cookies" levels.
Advertising & Marketing Partners
At the "All cookies" level, we and our advertising partners use cookies and pixels to measure the performance of our advertising and to show you ads for shows and events that may interest you on other websites and apps. These partners include Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, LinkedIn, Microsoft, and connected-TV and display advertising providers, and from time to time the advertising partners of shows appearing at our venues. They may receive information such as the pages you visited, the performances you viewed, and purchases you completed. We may also share a hashed (non-readable) version of contact details you have provided, used only to match and measure advertising, not to send you messages. Information collected through ticket lottery entries is not included in this matching.
When advertising cookies are declined, our advertising partners do not receive cookies or personal identifiers from your visit; advertising performance may still be estimated in aggregate using non-identifying signals.
Chat
If you use the chat feature on our website, your conversation is processed and may be retained by our customer service platform provider so we can respond to your inquiry and improve our service. Please do not share payment card numbers or other sensitive information in chat.
DPC Communications — Email and SMS
We use the term “DPC Communications” throughout this policy to refer to email and text messages you receive from Dr. Phillips Center, whether transactional (order confirmations, ticketing updates, show reminders) or promotional (marketing messages, offers, and promotions).
- Email: By purchasing tickets, making a donation, creating an account, or entering a ticket lottery, contest, or drawing, you provide your email address and consent to receive DPC Communications by email, including transactional messages and, unless you opt out, promotional messages.
- SMS: By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive DPC Communications by text message, including show reminders, start times, parking information, venue updates, weather advisories, cancellations, reschedules, and promotional messages. Consent to receive promotional text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies; you should expect up to approximately ten (10) messages per month. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can stop receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help.
Minors
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, or those under the age of 13. Further, any portion of our website geared toward children under 13 will not request any personal or contact information.
Accessibility and Accommodation Information
If you request accessible seating or another accommodation, we may collect information relevant to that request, including disability-related information. We use this information solely to provide the requested accommodation and do not use it for marketing purposes.
Security
Our site uses a secure server for online ordering. All information transmitted between you and our server is encrypted (via TLS/SSL) to protect it while in transit, including at checkout. Payment card processing is handled by a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor; Dr. Phillips Center does not store your full credit card number.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining your account and order history, administering contests and drawings, and sending you DPC Communications until you opt out. To request deletion of your information, contact us using the information in “Your Privacy Contact” below, and we will respond consistent with applicable law.
Your Privacy Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled, contact us at Dr. Phillips Center, 155 East Anderson Street, Orlando, Florida 32801. For questions about a specific order, contact the Bill & Mary Darden Box Office at boxoffice@drphillipscenter.org or 407.358.6603.
Jurisdiction and Venue
By providing personal information to us through any means, including this website, our mobile communications, or in person, you agree that the laws of the State of Florida shall govern any disputes arising from or in connection with this Privacy Policy, including any misuse of personal information you provide to us. You agree that the exclusive venue for any such disputes is the federal or state courts located in Orange County, Florida.
Disclaimers
Although we believe our procedures are effective to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee that these precautions will protect against all potential security breaches, and we expressly disclaim any liability for any security breach or intrusion that results in the unauthorized disclosure or misuse of your personal information. If you prefer, you may place your order or donation by phone or mail.
