Platinum Season: Classical Opener

About the show 

Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras (FSYO) is excited to take the stage at Central Florida’s renowned Steinmetz Hall for the first time! In celebration of its 70th season, FSYO will bring all five of its classical ensembles together for an evening of music, marking a special milestone for the organization and its young musicians.

This concert will feature:

• Overture Strings, conducted by Dr. Jeannine Mongeon
• Prelude Orchestra, conducted by Ms. Sarah Morrison
• Sinfonia Orchestra, conducted by Mrs. Andrea Reynolds
• Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Matthew Davis
• Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by Mr. Charles Watford

With five ensembles taking the stage, audiences will enjoy an exciting and diverse program featuring works by Berlioz, Grieg, Tchaikovsky and many more.

About The Organization:

Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras (FSYO) empowers young musicians to achieve excellence and inspire their communities through a shared love of music. In its 70th concert season, FSYO serves over 300 members and comprises eight ensembles: three symphony orchestras, two string orchestras, two jazz bands and a percussion ensemble. FSYO programs are carefully structured to encourage member growth with FSYO throughout their primary and secondary years. Florida Symphony Youth Orchestras’ full range of ensembles offers each member a place to excel with peers at a similar level and an opportunity to collaborate with seasoned music professionals on local, national and international levels.
