About the show 

Turn up the funk with Tru Phonic, a Central Florida band mixing soul, rock, blues and hip-hop into its own groove-heavy sound. Led by guitarist and songwriter Jake Salter, these seasoned musicians bring hot horns and fiery guitar to songs that rock back to the ’70s and roll forward into hip-hop’s golden era. Hear old-school soul horns ride over hip-hop beats as the band’s bluesy guitar riffs break into freewheeling jams.

Tru Phonic is Jake Salter (guitar/vocals/keys), Daniel Garcia (sax, flute, vocals), Reese Montgomery (keys, sax, vocals) and Christian Sciolla (bass). Since forming on Florida’s Space Coast in 2017, the band has built a loyal fan base across the Southeast and landed festival stages including Suwannee Hulaween. Generations of great music collide when this Florida favorite makes their Judson’s Live debut.
